Cosette slept in her crib last night- all night long. OK, it is a promising development, but it wasn't as restful for me as I had hoped. Here is how the night went:
8:00 Bathe and dress Juliette in her pj's. Sit and watch Barney. (A treat for Juliette, usually the routine is bath, books, bed).
8:30 Greg and Juliette leave to meet our neighbors in an attempt to view the East Haven fireworks from the beach. I feed Cosette.
9:00 Cosette and I join the group. Fireworks are barely visible in the distance but it was just an excuse to finally get to know the neighbors, anyway.
9:20 Mosquitos win. We all walk back home.
9:30 Read with Juliette.
9:40 Cosette starts crying.
9:55 Turn out the lights and drag Juliette to bed. Leave the dark and calm of Juliette's room to be handed a screaming baby by beleagured husband.
10:05 Juliette is screaming for me. Put baby in crib; run into Juliette's room.
10:20 Leave Juliette's room again, get baby, start feeding baby.
10:45 Put baby in crib. Baby cries.
11:10 Crawl into crib with baby in desperate attempt to get her to sleep.
12:05 Wake up in crib. Un-cramp myself, climb out as quietly as possible, and go to my own bed. Yeehaw, it seems to be working!
1:30 Juliette is screaming for me. Run to her room, crawl into bed with Juliette.
2:00 Leave Juliette's room, check baby- she's still sleeping! Crawl back into my own bed.
3:00 Baby starts crying. Feed baby
3:37 Baby is once again asleep in crib. Back to bed.
5:30 Baby is hungry again. Feed baby. Fall asleep while feeding baby.
6:55 Juliette is awake and crying "Mommy come get me." Put Cosette down, get Juliette, limp downstairs to turn on the coffee.
8:30 Darling husband gets up. Asks, did you come to bed last night? Comments that he woke up once when baby was crying.

I was laughing--but mostly in sympathy! Is this what I have to look forward to?!? All of a sudden bottle feeding (so Russ can do it!) looks good! :)
