When toddlers won't nap...

Juliette decided not to take a nap today. After 45 minutes of singing to herself in her room, and just as Cosette and I were drifting off into dreamland, she started shouting "Mommy come get me" progressively louder until I couldn't ignore it anymore. I did manage to get them both to sit quietly. Yes, it involved letting Juliette use "baby sistah's" swing. I wonder, can I get a few minutes of calm while they watch Elmo?
