The girls and I watched three minutes of American Idol together last night. One of the contestants was singing the song "You're so Vain". The girls were dancing around the family room, giggling and getting all riled up. However, I was ready for the girls to go to bed, so I turned the TV off and marched them upstairs to get changed.
We are all in Cosette's room, and I'm trying to get them into their pj's, when Juliette picks up a toy microphone, stands in front of the full length mirror, watching herself as she prances and preens and then starts to sing: "You're sooo vaaiiinn..."
Poetic.

I'd say if there was ever a song to croon to, You're So Vain is it, no matter what age you are!
