Today I was a judge at our state science fair. I can imagine my own girls participating in such an event, years from now. They'd win. Oh wait. I'd have to let them do their own project, wouldn't I? When I think about these things I find myself hoping that I will be the kind of parent that can let my children learn their own lessons and make their own mistakes.
