Playing with my iPod

Summer

I got a new app for my iPod. Several, in fact. The bowling is fun, the bug squashing amused the girls, and the photo editing is addicting. Here are the two photos that I started on, older ones that I had in my iPod library, they are from our summer vacation in cape cod. Ahh, summer....

See what I did? I Color Splashed them! Of course, then I had to configure my iPod to connect to my WiFi (OK, so it pretty much did that automatically, once I turned it ON) and then I had to configure filesharing with Flickr. The hardest part about that was remembering my user name and password-but I got it after only a few tries. Isn't amazing how all these mobile devices and social networking sites can suck away so much of your time? This blog is enough, but I have Twitter (although I never use it) and I finally got sucked into Facebook; every few weeks I spend a few hours on iTunes looking for new music and apps and such for my iPod; and every few weeks I also have to download audiobooks (from audiobooks.com) which involves much soul searching (what genre am I in the mood for? Which books do I want to invest 15+ hours listening to next? Is it a story that will be well narrated, or one that is better off read? What are the ratings? on and on...).

It just figures that, mere seconds after I install the new bowling app onto my iPod, and I'm standing in lab testing it out (it's like the Wii- you actually "bowl" your iPod!)... when my boss walks in. He walks into lab maybe once a week. Maybe every other week. But it is always when we are laughing, playing, or taking a coffee break. I was so engrossed in my 'bowling' (I got a strike!) that I only noticed him when I heard him ask "What are you doing? Shouldn't you be doing... science?"

Busted.

Um, I didn't even know you could buy apps for an Ipod. I thought they were just for an Iphone or and Itouch.

Geesh.
