I work from home many days. The benefit (notice the singular form) of being an adjunct is that when you are not actually in class, you can be at home.  This means I can keep a watchful eye on my children, although on many days that actually means working as much as I can when they are at school and then yelling at them to get out of my hair once they come home.  Picture me tearing down the driveway to the bus stop as fast as is safe (and maybe slightly faster) to avoid missing the bus.  That's me, most days.

The best days are those in which they are off playing for hours on end without disturbing me. The problem is, when that happens, it actually makes me worried.  You know it, the feeling that trouble is brewing?
