We were at the pet store buying yet another water heater for our aquarium, and the girls were looking at all the different tropical fish. It wasn't the most kid-friendly pet store, as the whole bottom row of fish tanks was wide open for little hands to splash in, and I was extremely grossed out to see one of the goldfish tanks had a large number of floaters. Juliette noticed them, too, and asked "Mommy, why are all those fish dead?"
"I don't know, Juliette", was my reply.
"But Mommy, you're a scientist. You're supposed to know!"
